1500
BC, the
volcano of

civilization

Crete
Island.
The last
eruption
took place
in 1956 and

active
today.

Kamari

the
Red Beach.
 Perissa
and
Kamari
have
a large and
endless
black sandy
beach while
the famous
Red beach of
Greece is
composed of
black and
red volcanic
rocks.
The island
of
Santorini
is
mostly known
for its
incredible
villages.
The
traditional
villages are
like most of
the villages
of the
Cyclades
with
the
difference
that they
are perched
on the top
of
impressive
cliffs. They
offer
incredible
views over
the volcano,
the sunset
and
Thirassia.
The most

the islands
are
Oia,
Fira,
Messaria
and
Imerovigli.
